Tell us about your hometown, family, and hobbies:
I live in Drayton Valley Alberta, with my mom my dad and my brother.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favorite memory from when you were younger?
I can’t say I remember the exact age that I had started playing hockey at but I know I have been skating for as long as I remember. I’d have to say the original factor that led to me playing hockey would have been me wanting to play with my friends and since I got into it my love for it has grown astronomically.
What team do/did you play for? What was your favorite part from the season?
As of right now I play for LJAC U18 AAA oil kings, I can’t really say I have a favorite part from the season as it is just getting started though I can’t wait to get back into the regular hockey schedule and be back with a team again after the hectic last while it’s been.
What are your top goals as a student athlete? Why are they your top goals?
I hope to be playing in the AJHL in the future and hopefully gain a scholarship and be able to play hockey in the NCAA. It would be awesome to be able to go to school for free.
How important is school from your perspective? Why are they your top goals?
School is very important to me because in my mind if I’m doing well in school it keeps so many more doors open for me, whether it’s in hockey or just life in general.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro Level?
It would be awesome to play at the NCAA level as I would be able to pursue the degree of my choice while also playing the sport I love, and to play at the pro level would be a dream come true.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
I am a very hard worker whether it is on or off the ice, even in situations where I may not always be the most skilled I can come out on top due to my hard work ethic and unwillingness to give up. I always push myself, as well as my teammates, whether on the ice practicing or off ice training.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I hope to always be a leader on whatever team I play for, whether I’m in a leadership role or not.
One fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is I have a Saint Bernard named Bernie.
