My name is Lucas Lemieux and I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. I have 3 brothers that all play hockey. I have a very competitive family with my dad being a pro golfer and mom playing on team Canada for ringette and university basketball. I play many other sports besides hockey such as basketball, volleyball, golf, and I snowboard.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favorite memory from when you were younger?
I originally began playing hockey at age 4 because my brother was playing at the time and it’s just a big part of the family. My favorite memory in hockey is scoring the tying goal on a penalty shot in the playoff quarterfinals in atom and scoring the overtime winner 15 seconds into overtime to advance into the semi-finals.
Who is your favorite NHL player and who do you model your game after? Why?
My favorite NHL player is Cale Makar and I model my game after him and Roman Josi. I like to model my game after Cale Makar because I like his offensive potential. I also like to model my game after Roman Josi because he can not only score and pass, but he can shut down top players with great defensive skills.

The thing that separates me as a player and person is my willingness to never give up in everything I do from school to sports. I continue to get better by trying to improve my game on the ice as well as my strength and fitness off the ice. I listen to coaches and I work hard everyday.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I would like to show kids that anybody can achieve their goals and that you don’t have to have all the resources to get you there if you work hard and believe in yourself.
