Tell us about your hometown, family and hobbies.
I grew up in a small town called High River, Alberta and I started playing hockey at a young age. My life wasn’t all around hockey. In the summer time I played lacrosse and basketball, and loved those sports as well.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favorite memory from when you were younger?
My favorite memory would be when I won the banner in my first year of Atom.
Who is your favorite NHL player and who do you model your game after? Why?
My favorite player would be Victor Hedman, because he is such a smart defenseman and knows what is going on at all times. He also has great puck movement.
What team did you play for? What was your favorite part from the season?
I played for the Okotoks U16 AAA last year and we didn’t really get to complete a whole year, but my favorite part was the development even in the small period that we had, as I felt I improved a great deal.
What are your top goals as a student athlete? Why are they your top goals?
I want to play NCAA hockey and in order to do that I need to be a great student athlete, so my top goals would to be to make sure I am getting good ice time and keeping my grades up high.
How important is school from your perspective? Why is it that way?
I find school very important, as I need to be good in school in order to play at a high level.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro level?
I would do anything to play at that level of hockey. My dream is to be able to play in the NCAA and then play pro hockey overseas.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
I feel that I have great hockey sense. I may not be the best or fastest skating player on the ice, but I feel that I have a great mind and I know what is about to happen.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to make sure that I try my hardest to make sure everyone has a great time in hockey, and that goes for myself as well. I want to make sure that I was an impactful person in the community throughout my career.

I’ve always wanted to go skydiving.
