Tell us about your hometown, family and hobbies.
I was born and raised in Kelowna BC. I have 3 siblings, 2 older sisters and a younger brother. One of my hobbies is downhill mountain biking which I have been doing for 2 years now.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favourite memory from when you were younger?
I have been on the ice since a young age but I have played structured hockey since I was 5 years old. One of my favorite memories in hockey was going to Calgary for the Rockey mountain classic in November of 2021.
Who is your favourite NHL player and who do you model your game after? Why?
My favorite NHL player is Jordon Eberle, but I have been told that my game is similar to Jared Spurgeon because of his offensive skills. Also, I think I play like Darnel Nurse because he has a strong hitting ability and so do I.
What team do/did you play for? What was your favorite part from the season?
In the winter season, I played for the Okanagan Rockets U 15 AAA as a first year. I will be returning to the Rockets for the 2022-2023 season as a second-year player. My favorite part of the season was team travel and spending lots of time with my teammates
What are your top goals as a student athlete? Why are they your top goals?
My top goal as a student athlete is to get a full or close to a full scholarship to a good university or college with a strong hockey program and lots of choices in courses.
How important is school from your perspective? Why is it that way?
Hockey will come to an end eventually and I would like to have a good education to ensure that I have a good career after hockey.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro level?
That I would be very proud of myself to gain an education well playing high level hockey and then also still have the chance to make my dreams come true and play in the NHL.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
I read the ice well and I have good offensive and defensive awareness, I am not afraid to get in a scrum with guys much bigger than me or block a shot no matter who it is that is shooting. I continue to get better by giving my all every practice and not taking any of the ice I get for granted.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports careers (community, team, success, etc.)
I would like to be a role model to younger kids and inspire kids to get into the sport, one way I am giving back to the hockey community right now is by reffing younger kids.
One fun fact about yourself.
