Tell us about your hometown, family, and hobbies.
I’m from Beaumont Alberta, just outside of Edmonton, I play hockey in the winter and like to play golf in the summertime with family and friends.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favorite memory from when you were younger?
I started playing hockey at the age of 4, and my favorite memory from when I was younger was playing in an outdoor tournament, the same place where the longest hockey game is played.
Who is your favorite NHL player and who do you model your game after? Why?
My favorite player is Patrick Kane. He has arguably the best hands and vision, so I try to model my game after him. We are both smaller players, I watch him and learn from him and at least try to do some of the stuff he does.
What team do/did you play for? What was your favorite part of the season?
I played for the Leduc U18 Oil Kings, my favorite part of this shortened season was our one game this year, it was the first game I had since late February.
What are your top goals as a student-athlete? Why are they your top goals?
My top goals as a student-athlete would be getting a degree and finishing school with at least a 3.7 GPA. Being able to get an education while playing your favorite sport would be surreal.
How important is the school from your perspective? Why is it that way?
School is so important. It’s where you show your off-ice capability, and character and dedication to be able to get good marks and perform on and off the ice.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro level?
That would be really special, that’s been my dream since I was a little kid.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
I always try to get better, learning from mistakes is how you grow and build your character from experiences.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
Away from the rink I would like to have a reputation for always giving back and helping whether that be with the elderly, or with young sports teams, just generous and caring for others.
One fun fact about yourself.
I have worked at Northern Bear golf course two years in a row in the summer.
