Tell us about your hometown, family and hobbies.
I am just a kid from Edmonton, Alberta. Born and raised. My support system is my mom, little sister, and Papa & Mama. My hobbies are basketball and ball hockey.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favorite memory from when you were younger?
I started playing hockey when I was 4. I played forward until I was 9, and then decided I needed to be in the net. My favorite memory is when I got to play in the Whitby Silver Stick Tournament in 2017 and 2019 in Ontario.
Who is your favorite NHL player and who do you model your game after?
Andrei Vasilevskiy is my favorite goaltender and who I model my game after.
He is positionally sound and plays big. He’s also in control of his game and that’s something I try to bring every night as well.
What team did you play for? What was your favorite part from the season?
South Side Athletic Club; M15AAA making it to the finals and closing the season with a 17-2-2 record. I am excited for my next season and starting with IHA Academy in Calgary.
What are your top goals as a student athlete?
To be the best version of myself today and try to do better each tomorrow.
How important is school from your perspective?
School is very important for my adulthood when I can no longer play in net. When I need plan B, education will play a very important role in anything I plan to achieve.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro level?
It would mean the world to me. Playing high level Junior hockey and furthering my game is a main objective. I have a long way to go, but if I continue to grow my game, I hope I have a chance to play pro hockey one day.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
I believe I see the game different from most. The game unfolds almost in slow motion in front of me when I am in the net. The faster the pace the calmer & more focused I feel.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I eat, breath and live for my net, team and the game. I work everyday to grow my strengths and weaknesses; physically, mentally and emotionally.
One fun fact about yourself:
I catch and throw with the same hand.
